The Milltown Education Foundation, Inc. (MEF) was founded in 2001 as an outcome of the school district’s strategic planning initiative. The MEF enhances resources available in the district by raising and distributing charitable donations, and forming corporate and community-based partnerships.
The Milltown Education Foundation, Inc. is an independent, non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c) (3) and charitable, community-based foundation. Our purpose is to provide financial assistance and to stimulate educational opportunities that are otherwise not available through the Milltown School district’s operating budget. The Foundation is a community response to a national challenge to keep Milltown’s young people productive in an increasingly competitive, complex and changing world and marketplace.
Secure financial, human and other resources for areas of identified educational need.
Organize and coordinate active community support and involvement to implement plans designed to meet these needs.
Provide a mechanism through which these resources can be allocated for worthwhile programs in an equitable manner.
MEF granted $10,000 from
Northfield Bank Foundation
for NEW Pre-K & Kindergarten Sensory Playground
Diane Senerchia of the Northfield Bank Foundation (2nd from far right), visited Parkview School to present the MEF with a check for $10,000. The money will be used in conjunction with $15,000 from the MEF, a donation from The Home Depot and district funds, to build a Large Motor /Sensory Playground for Parkview's PreK and Kindergarten students. In attendance were Board of Education President, Carl Schneider; Principal, Eric Siegel; Parkview's Pre K and Kindergarten Staff; PreK and Kindergarten students; MEF Trustee, Kelly Sirna and MEF Treasurer, Kate Scotto.
Partner with us to enhance educational excellence for our students. We fund grants that engage students and prepare them for the future. We specifically look for opportunities that will bring STEM and STEAM initiatives into the classroom.
